About Me
Hi! I’m Blair Wong—a runner, triathlete, and hopefully, your future coach! Growing up, I never thought of myself as an athlete. Any time I tried a sport, I felt really out of place, like I didn’t belong or deserve to be there. It wasn’t until college that some friends encouraged me to give running a try. They were so patient, running by my side and cheering me on until I crossed the finish line of my first 5K. That experience changed everything for me.
From there, I got into ultimate frisbee and even rock climbing, both of which helped me feel more confident in my own skin as an athlete. Then, after moving to Boston in 2020, I found a community of runners who made me feel like I truly belonged—like we were all in it together, no matter our backgrounds or goals. Thanks to their support, I was inspired to take on triathlons, and my triathlon coach made a world of difference. Having her in my corner reminded me I deserved to be there as much as anyone else and that I am capable of doing hard things.
That’s why I became a RRCA Level 1 Certified running coach. I know how powerful it is to have someone believe in you, especially if you’re just starting out or taking on a new challenge. My goal is to help you feel that sense of belonging and excitement every step of the way!
More about my running journey:
Kicked off my running journey with my first 5K in 2011, and I haven’t looked back since—so many more to follow!
Tackled multiple half marathons, and even had the joy of pacing one to help others cross that finish line!
Conquered two marathons, including the iconic Chicago Marathon and the real Boston Marathon, 26.True.
Dived into the world of triathlons with several sprint distances under my belt, plus an Olympic triathlon and a 70.3. Who knew swimming, biking, and running could be so much fun?
Proud to volunteer as an UpliftHer with TrailblazHers Run Co., an all female run crew based in Boston. Together, we lift each other up and celebrate every step!
